Looking for some zoa experts to help me figure out what's going on with a few of my colonies. I currently have 3 colonies that closed up and I'm not sure why. I have many other colonies (next to the closed colonies) that are doing fine.

My parameters are pretty good for the most part and I haven't made any significant changes. I've already tried dipping the zoas and haven't had any luck. No signs of zoa pox either.

Params are as follows:
Temp: 78
SG: 1.026
Ph: 8.2
Dkh: 8.4
Calcium: 420
Mag: 1350-1400 last I checked
NH4: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
Phosphate: 0

I'm working on getting the nitrates and phosphates up but I feed the tank constantly and all lps is doing fine.

In addition to standard chemicals, I dose fuel and all 4 Red Sea coral colors. The tank is kept under gen 4 xr30 pros.

I will post pictures tomorrow.

How long have the closed colonies been in the tank?
How long have they been closed up?

I've had zoas close up for a day or two, and then re-open on their own - all without any unusual changes to the tank. Sometimes they just get tired or something...

They have been closed for a week to a week and a half. I don't remember the exact day they closed up

Check them at night in different hours, or if there may be a fish that stings them, some crab or a type of plague that directly attacks zoas.

Discarding the above, now that you did the dip, I would recommend letting them rest without moving or touching them, in my experience a resentful zoa like those in the photo may take several weeks to recover.

I agree with @arroyo9831. Unless/until you start loosing heads or something about their condition changes for the worse, trying to "fix" them is likely going to only make them worse. Keep the tank stable, but otherwise just let 'em be and watch them. It will take time, but nothing in this hobby happens fast... ;-)
