Hi guys, I love my Zoas so much but I think there's something going seriously wrong. I have about 6 separate colonies in the tank. About a month ago I noticed one of the colonies wasn't opening so. Research shows to dip it in iodine. I deeped it in coral deep and put it back in the tank. The very next day all I had was rocks, that colony had totall disappeared. I guess that's how Zoas die. Now I'm noticing another colony closing up. He hasn't open for 3days now. I spend hours every day and night looking at the colonies to find any pest but I cant find anything. All my water parameters are good. Is there a pest that the eyes cant see? how can I fit it? Thanks.

Can you share a photo. Zoas can close up for days. I will hesitate to do iodine dip or any chemical means in general unless im sure whats wrong. From your description i feel its some pest. Did you check for zoa pox or zoa spider? Can you tell us a little about your tank setup, chemistry and how long its been running? Also what are the specific zoa types we are talking about? Some zoas require more care than others..
