I scoured Zoaid but didnt see any on there that matched these. Any ideas? Or just call em Purple Hornet similars? They're tiny polyps...

these follow the same grouping as the 2nd gen red hornets and the black hornets- believe they're all from vietnam local.

Not sure why you're seeing them as similar to a purple hornet though? Or are you meaning more the 'hornet' than the purple?

To fit the 'type' of a hornet (blue, red, or purple) the skirts would need to be alternating in color, these aren't however.

My .02 is to call them "green supernova's" as it's the 'type' i've taken to calling my 2nd gen Red's and others that follow the same patterning- colored mouth (typically a blue/pale blue), thin solid band circling mouth, dark purple-to-black disc, skirts that have same color as the band surrounding the mouth, typically with alternating full-length and half-length coloring.

hope that's some help!

Yes it was more the "hornet" I was referring to rather then the "purple", although they're a kind of burgundy/plum kind of purple in person. The photo is under LEDs and I have a hellova time getting WB right...

I'm aware that the true purple hornet(and reds) have the alternating skirt color, but i've always seen the ones with solid skirt colors refered to as a "SM/Similar Morph"? So I didnt know what else to call em.

So you refer to the ones with single color skirt, rather then alternating, Super Novas? Interesting, i'll try to remember that. :) Thanks.
