Hi All,
Could I ask that someone could ID my Zoa?
Thanks. I have enclosed a photo hope it’s good enough to ID.
Plus I have it at the bottom of the tank as it’s quite new to acclimate to my lights.

Might need a better photo. I'm not sure if the blue is the color on the zoa or if it's from your camera as the sand is blue too. Can you describe the colors or get some more white in the pic?

Maybe a lunar eclipse morph?

Looks like fire and Ice to me. I just posted my colony last week which looks similar and that's what the I'd came back as. Tank lighting and chemistry can make a 100% ID possible
Thanks very much. I have them on the gravel bed to acclimate to the lights. Had them there just over a week, could I leave them there? Or do they need to move higher up towards my LEDs? Many thanks.

I'd say leave them there unless you want to create a zoa garden on your rocks. I've started keeping Acros so don't want them to take over so I moved them down to the sand and they are growing like crazy. I'd say the par in the spot I have them is around 170-210. I have some frags in a shaded area around 100 par and they are growing as well. There is a burn-in period where they just need to be in your tank and get used to the chemistry. I had mine up higher on a rock and they had really good growth, when I move them down is where they really took off. Maybe after a month or so if you don't see growth move it temporarily higher then once you see it take off, if desired, move it back down. If you don't have the ability to stick the plug in a hole in your rock you can grab a chunck or live rock rubble that would sit firm where ever you move it. Mine were on a small rock and they have since overtaken it and grown beyond it.

Thanks so much for the information you have provided.I will keep them where they are on the gravel bed and see how they pan out. Unfortunately I don't have in my possession a Par Meter but I do understand from my set up that soft corals don't require intense lighting I have whites at 59% blues at 84% coloured mix at 31% as i live in the U.K. My leds are the ilumenair 600, my daylight hours are 6 hours with 2hours ramp up then 2hours ramping down then 2 hours on moonlight. I have a feeling my lights are the equivalent to zetlights which are in use in the US. Do you think this too much light for my new zoas ? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Robbocop.
