Zoa id

I bought this zoa colony from my LFS and they were unable to tell me the name of the zoa when I asked. Any one know what this is. And does this large colony constitute dosing iodine even though I do weekly water changes? It’s a little closers up because it’s night time and I’m light acclimating it so lighting is kinda poor

Nice! Looks like hawaiian ding dang but a close up picture of the pattern would be helpful. Depending on the size of your tank and frequency of water changes, you probably do not need to be dosing iodine for it

edit: re-read the post. You don’t need to be dosing iodine with weekly water changes unless you see the zoas close/melt for seemingly no reason

Sorry if the photo is blurry. I have a 29g biocube but have modified it so I would say 30-32 gallons. I also have a different zoa colony that has been closed, and I have been doing iodine dips to make sure nothing is irritating them. All the other zoas I have seem to be doing fine though.
