After looking at some of the pics on here... I am really considering doinga Zoa dominated tank... I am new to this all together, tank has been up and running for a few months and i do have some zoas (not sure what they are) ... but what are some do's and dont's?

don't ever stop buying and DO spend money and collect them all cause it is very addicting.

And that's the do's & Dont's By Rob&Gab.

this hobby is nothing but bankruptcy. but no start off with low end zoas and build up your collection.

zoas are easy but when it comes to the really high end ones a little more hard to handle.

So i have noticed! I tried SPS, but apparently my tank is to "new" after wasting about $350.00 on the frags alone i am calling it quits with SPS ... needless to say, after a lighting upgrade, PH upgrades, reactors and all that...SPS has just down right cost me a fortune! I do have a few LPS, which are all doing well. After picking some zoa's up from my LFS today and getting them in my tank, i really like the looks of em! Ill have to post a pic though, because i have no idea what they are... all i know is there are about 100 heads and it was cheap! lol

Zoas and Palys are like Pokemon, Gotta catch them all! But otherwise it is amazing how many varieties are out there and they are fun to sell and trade. If you want inspiration for a zoa dominated tank checkout joshporksandwichs tank thread. He has one of the most ridiculous zoa tanks out there. On that note, get some nice ones, grow them out, frag and trade em for new ones. That is the Best way not to go bankrupt. Do's and Donts come with the learning experience. You can probably ask everyone of what prize zoas melted on them, it just happens.

That is one thing i have wondered, how exactly do you frag zoas?

Youtube how to frag, the high end zoas are expensive but addicting, you can spend 500$ on a single zoa. #1 on gotta catch them all lol.

$500.00 on a single zoa? That would be like having a new Kia in my fish tank!

it would be better then a new kia, cause this 500$ polyp grows and its an investment. then you can frag and recoop your money and still have your polyps. rest is profit.

Love my zoas... Love my acans, too. They're as easy to keep as the zoas, have larger polyps and, thus far at least, aren't trying to overpopulate the universe!
