hello all please help if you can. I got Zoas like three weeks ago and that night found a nudibranch on it. I took him out immediately.
However now I have noticed that some are dying. And it’s depressing me. I don’t know why every level is fine and the other corals I got the same day are beautiful.
I see something that could be tiny with flea like bugs or it could be my eyes. I can’t figure out how to post videos to show these bugs bc they are to small for pics . But that’s what they remind me of if it’s not debris.
But they have these white spots on them too and it doesn’t look like anything google pulls up. Almost like a white head under the skin.
Some of them are gone altogether and some have like cocooned in white things and are see through and obviously dead.

Any way you can circle an area you are talking about? Honestly, I've never heard of any pest that fits your description, but then I haven't seen many zoas pests.

Maybe some other member of the #ReefSquad can ID and help you out.

And welcome to Reef2Reef!

Those look like they could be zoa pox but I'm not certain. If you can remove it from the tank a dip in H2O2 (one part H2O2, two parts tank water) might help.

I'm thinking zoa pox too. You can search for treatment for it.

I would also dip your zoas in coral revive every 2 or 3 days for the next few weeks. Zoas love coral revive and it will kill any nudis or eggs that happened to hatch too.
