Not sure if this is the right forum....

But I bought a JBJ Nano LED 24ga tank and it's going to be delivered this week.

I'd like to turn it into a zoa tank, as I used to own a saltwater tank many years ago. I had a few zoas and they really made the tank look good.

Do you guys know of any online guides about the best parameters/etc for an all-zoa tank?

I also would like to add an anenome and a clown fish in the hopes he hosts it.

I would recommend the standard reef parameters. Just make sure you don't let nutrients bottom out. As long as PO4 is 0.02ppm or higher and NO3 is above 5ppm zoa's should do just fine imo.

Thanks.

I'm headed out this weekend to pick up live sand, live rock for my new empty tank.

Can I ask you if I should buy any products that claim to speed up the cycle process?

I know the fish store is going to try to sell me a bottle of something or other which will allegedly make the tank "safe" for marine life (and prevent having to wait 3 months for the tank to cycle)

I'm planning on buying a few zoa frags then gluing them (with that water proof glue) to the live rock.

In 1-2 months after I set up the tank, I plan on adding a single anemone and a clown fish pair to hopefully host.

Is this a good game plan?

It looks like you are already picking up stuff to speed up the cycle. Isn't that the entire point of buying live rock? (not a fan of live sand, but that's fine)

If you are getting the rock from the same fish store and they try to sell you a bottle of bacteria I would ask them if they feel their live rock is poor quality.

I think you have a find game plan.

Oh, and Welcome to Reef2Reef!
