Is my zoa losing color or is this a stowaway?

I just received this zoa (three weeks ago) from a friend. I noticed that 1/2 the polyps have gone colorless. Polyps are extended every day and parameters are good. All other corals are doing great.

Just wondering if I have two zoa varieties here or if this one is losing its color. If so, why?

Could it be the zoa is acclimating. 1/2 is brown, 1/2 is rainbow.

Any guesses as to the name of this zoa?

I'm guessing 2 different zoas. But 2 better photos, one under white light and one under blue light would help.

Have they gained any color? Mine started brown and now with t5s and reef roids. In 2 feedings I have noticed rapid coloration.

No. Half the polyps are brown and half are rainbow. It seems two species somehow were mixed together. The brown grows much faster than rainbow. I fragged some of the rainbow polyps off the mixed group and am raising them as separate frags.

Some people do this on purpose. If you leave them touching it can/ will trade colors and you will get a morph offspring
