have yu guys ever had a a poly or two just doing good and out of no where it won't open up and just melts no matter what yu do either you dip it or move it and nothing seems to work and then just like dust it vanishes? What causes that? I've had a few happen to me and I have no idea why is it to little light to much light to much flow water to clean or what?? Any insight so I don't have zoas melting any more?

it happens to me all the time. I've had colonies do that to me after years of doing good. There is really no explanation i can give you that will make any sense sorry. If i see something doing bad i try to move it to a different location or even a different tank. I will only dip if i see any kind of infection. If the frag was new (2 months or less) then it just didn't like the location, water chemistry or something picked at it, if it was old i have no answer sorry. Just keep an eye on everything and try to always keep your parameters as steady as possible.

ITs inevitable and happens to the best , I have found that colonys will get to critical mass then have a die off when they cant expand sometimes or they just feel like it lolz the feelz

I think there is sometimes no explanation and it just happens. Its happened to me despite my other corals thriving.

Well, there is aways an explanation, but we would need to know a lot more of the system and it's history to try to diagnose those events. Also, we need to know the source of the zoas...

Grandis.
