Zoa melting away

Can someone tell me what this is protruding from my zoa’s? I’m referring to the black stalk in the pic. I started to lose my hornet colony when it appeared last week. Thanks!

vermetid snail maybe? They can irritate corals as well. You can add a bit of superglue to the tip and it should die off. Good luck!

That could be vermetid snails if the tube is hard or possibly hydroids if they are flexible. Either way the left half of the zoas are not doing well. Can you frag that part away?
 
I have had vermetid for a long time but they seem to be taking over the tank. I think I will try and remove the plug part I’m losing some heads.
