Found this guy yesterday while cleaning the tank (don't mind the bubble algae...I was a tad lazy during the month of December :(...at least my emerald crab should be happy for awhile).

Really cool how they will be together for months and then all of a sudden you notice something different. Earlier yesterday this one was actually sticking up at least 1" higher then those around it.

Very different than the other ones.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing!

That might be just a different zoa that was under and decided to grow up lol. But if it's a morph it's cool.

Possible, but don't think so. I started this rock out a couple months ago and each "colony" was only 1-3 zoas each, so hopefully I would have seen it ;)

I have close to 15 different type of zoas. I encounter some of them will twist their head until it broke off from the stem and stick somewhere else and build another colony. I do have some heads with slightly different color when the colony grow larger (as per picture).

I have a colony of Cornbred White Zombies that morphed drastically. Some polyps are half black while others become almost entirely white! Will post pictures tomorrow.

I've had pretty much the same thing happen when my tuxedo urchin decides to let loose of the ones it was carrying around and "grab" some more...probably how that happened.
