I got 2 new zoa frags from someone and they had a little hair algae on them. The seller gave me a little coral rx to dip them in when I got home. This was my first time using a dip and the seller said to use only a little so I put a little I didn’t measure maybe 2 ml in 2 cups of tank water. And I added the frags for 10 minutes. Then I rinsed them in a different container of tank water then placed them in my tank. It’s been 4 days and they have not opened since I dipped them is this normal? I have gotten other zoas the day after and didn’t dip them and they where good as soon as I put them in my tank. So I not sure if I did the dip wrong or if it’s normal for them to stay closed so long after a dip?

I don't know what the instructions for that particular dip are. I do know that zoas can take a while to adjust after a move. In the 2nd pic, it looks like the ones on the left are open a little
Those are rastas and the green is just showing through I’m hopeful that they are just taking a while to adjust after the dip. Just never used a dip and not sure. Thanks

Another angle... As far as I know, coral dips target pests, not algae. If there is still algae on the frags, that could be irritating the zoas...

Lugols is good for coral dip. You can look up a hydrogen peroxide dip insteuctions to kill the algae. Zoas will stay closed for a day or two afterward but will be fine.

It’s been 5 days since I dipped my rastas and goblin fire zoas and they finally have started to open today

I should say..lugols is a good dip for zoas and lps. Sometimes zoas will stay closed for weeks if they are pumping out new polyps too.
