Hi everyone, hoping for some help. still really new to corals. about a week ago I noticed that while my magician palys and GSP are behaving normally and even growing significantly, My Gobstopper almost seems to have gotten smaller, and don't open all the way anymore. I did introduce my first fish a few weeks ago but this seems to be newer behavior. he's sitting about midway up in the tank with moderate flow. Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate <10, phosphate ~0.25, calcium 420. I did notice my pH had dipped to ~7.5 according to my hanna digital tester. I added a CO2 scrubber to my skimmer today and have seen it come up to about 7.9 (and climbing, its only been 4 hours or so). I am almost disinclined to think its water quality though, because the other corals are fine. any ideas what might be going on?

Had a similar problem with my zoa. I moved it waited a few days if it didn't open moved it again. After about 3 tries it hit a spot and slowly opened but I saw some progress so I have left it there. Now it's got some new heads and always open. I put it in a high light area but low in the tank and some good flow coming over it. Hope this helps.

I might try that, the problem is he was fine where he was for over a month, actually getting new heads. Does this happen often where they decide they're no longer happy where they previously were?

Mine did after I did a big water change. He was good for weeks then said he'll no to that spot.
