You should be fine as long as you don't frag them..I think

I recommend isolating fast growing species to islands so they do not overgrow main rock work.Appreciate all of the replies. Conflicted on trying to remove them (while using precautions!) vs. letting them stay. It seems at the very least that I will need to trim them back at some point because of their rapid growth.
