Zoa overgrowth

For years a couldn’t grow zoanthids. Now my little colonies have gone craze. Will zoanthids kill neighboring corals (sps, lps)
 
From what I understand they don't "sting" other corals per-se but the mat they develop to grow over rock can cover and kill corals as they grow.

Careful what you wish for! I just removed that entire colony. It was clogging my overflow. I still have a ton of it growing around. Depending on the type (these are Pandoras), you can have one type completely overcome and smother the more attractive ones. My Utter Chaos would be a dream if it grew this fast!
