Actually #3, #6, and #8 are all common button polyps; they come in a variety of colors - green, brown, etc. and have been around in the hobby for many years. With the explosion of the name game in recent years, some of them have aquired hobby use names (mainly as a means for sellers to make some extra $), how anyone can tell the various types apart to know which ones are the named varieties is beyond me. Regardless of whether they are the named variety or not, they are all protopalys, and under the proper tank conditions they will take off and quickly cover much of the LR in your system - they also are usually able to out compete the other zoas/palys, so use care in introducing them into your system. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input on the protopalys! I try and buy from local tank growers and all i do is buy frags just to be 'reef friendly'. so i didnt mind paying what i did for #3 & 6(~20$).

I am really curious what #9 is as i bought it from a LPS as just Green Star Polyps. And as you can see in the picture there is a protopaly on it which i am super stoked about getting! Feel like i got a steal for this one :D
