I've read a lot of different advice on zoa placement and I was wondering what you all thought. So what kind of flow and light would you give Zoas?

I keep mine at moderate to low light and moderate flow but different zoas like different flow and light.

Ok, ill just move the frags around every couple of days and see what they like.

They'll really grow anywhere in my experience as long as the flow isn't too strong. They're not particularly fussy corals when it comes to placement, so you can really play around with it!(:

I have some Eagle Eyes that do horrible up high. Barely open, and then never stay open long. As soon as I moved them to a small rock on the bottom they all opened up and are loving life and multiplying. I put some Orange BamBams up where the Eagle Eyes were and they love it there and are multiplying like crazy.

Start at the bottom and if they look like they are reaching they want more light . Move them up slowly to give them a chance to tell you what they want .

So I have two frags of Zoas that just do not want to open. I put them at the bottom of the tank in low flow, worked them up through medium and high flow (with low light. Nothing. Then I tried low flow with medium and then high light. Still nothing. Now I have arrived at high light high flow and have done every combination of flow and light I can think of. Still. Not. Open.

If anyone has any advice on what else I can try, please let me know.

How long are you leaving them in the spot . They might need a couple of days to adjust. Some open as soon as you put them in the tank but not all .

I've been leaving them for at least a day. I only mess with my tank after work, so they get 24 or 48 hours in a spot. I'm worried because I've had them for a week and all the other frags are at least partially open.

I Bayer dipped them, but they came from my local LFS that I get all my livestock and rock from. My system is basically an extension of there's. Should I dip them again?

do you have any fish that could possibly be nipping them?

I say leave the frags in a spot without touching them for a few more days and see what happens. They may not be getting the chance to get settled sith such short times between moves.
