Zoa pooping?

noticed this coming out of my gobstopper zoas never seen this before. Is this normal?

Yep it's poo although the only time mine did that was when I had it too high (too much light) in the tank.
They will do this (so will lps and nems) ime when they're fed too much or too much light. It's expelling some zooanthelle
 
high Alk with low nutrients and high Po4 will cause this too,,test your params,,are there any other zoa/palys doing this

I keep my parameters as steady as possible. 5 percent water change every other week. I have 8 different zoas and these are the only one doing it. At first it was just that one head but as time went all 6 heads started to do it for about 30mins then stopped. They didn't close after they have been open all day and look great. I just don't want to lose these ones. They are my favorite zoas I own.
 
What lights do you have? May need to adjust down intensity
 
never pick a favorite,,they are sure as dead if you do..lolol
lower lights or lower zoas in the tank,,try the latter first..
did you put new GAC in reactor by chance ?
