I received some corals from an online order shortly before Christmas. They threw in an extra freebie Zoa, which hasn't really opened up - all other frags (including Zoas) are doing great.

Having looked closer I think it has Zoa Pox. Before I start looking at Furan 2/treatment options, can anyone just confirm my suspicions? Not dealt with this one before.

The coral was dipped prior to going into the tank, but I'd hate for it to spread to my other Zoas through the water.

Thanks

Sure looks like it to me. Although those are pretty large bumps... they're usually smaller and white IME.

So here is a photo the same frag today - without any treatment.

Clearly it's doing better and the Pox (if it was that) is not as prominent. To be honest I think most of the dots seen are actually debris.

I've researched but can't see any cases of Pox going away on its own, has anybody else?

I have the Furan 2 now so no problem doing the treatment anyways, but I don't want to stress it unnecessarily.

Any suggestions?

I'd treat it just in case. I'm actually doing some Furan 2 dips right now for a couple of my zoas. It doesn't seem to stress them out that much - sick or not.
