What does 'the pox' look like? How can I tell the difference between pox and a melt?
Something appears to be wrong with one of my new frags. It was doing great for several days, but now it is starting to look 'odd'.
Here is a pic, all be it not a good pic (still don't have my macro lens back)

Is no one replying because the pic is so bad?
I'll try to post a better one if I can..................

If you have "zoa pox" you should be able to see little white growths on the stalks of the zoas that look like grains of sand or larger. In a melt they just slowly shrivel up and die. It's hard to tell from your pic what the problem is. Have you lost polyps or had any that closed for a prolonged period of time? You prob want to include your parameters as well.

Hmmm...not spots, but rather what looks to be shriveled polyps around the back edge (circled in the pic)
All the other corals and look just fine
Temp: 80
PH: 8.2
SG: 1.026
N03: 0
N04: 0
P04: 0.25
NH3: 0
Calcium:420
Alk: 11
Mag: 1350

Maybe lower the sg and lower temp a tiny bit. Try to get some waste build up and see if it like dirty water.

I should also add that I am still fighting with what may in fact be a bad piece of equipment, namely the new IM Aqua Gadget nano skimmer. It still seems to be in its break in period (beginning to think it will NEVER break in). I have a TON of micro bubbles in the DT. Don't know if this is contributing or not since none of the other critters seems bothered, just the one zoa frag pictured.

You can try 78 for temp and 1.025 for salinity. Your magnesium looks fine. I keep mine at 1400 and doing well.

No changes to report. Polyps in pic that are closed are still closed, and I haven't noticed it spreading.
Maybe just some die off?
Shock from being moved and glued to a rock?
