I am having a big problem with zoa pox. I have cut off the ones that have been infected but it seems like everytime I look in the tank there are new white spots on my zoas. Anyone have any suggestions on how to treat this?

Thanks,

Shaun

you dont have to keep cutting out the infected ones. you just need to treat the whole colonies outside the tank with furan. here is the link for treatment. http://www.zoaid.com/articles004.php
i treated all my colonies when i had zoa pox and by the last treatment they were all fine.

Furan2 is the way to go like amanda said above. Follow zoaid's procedure and you should be fine. My zoa's/paly's have been under fire from zoapox and fungus lately and furan 2 dips have been successful in saving my collection.

Good luck_

Thanks for the responses! I just ordered some yesterday and it should be here tomorrow.

Till it gets here, just make sure your water quality is up on par and the infected zoas have good flow. It is possible for them to heal on their own. I would treat though if I had the option.

when using this method, is it best to just do the dips? i have zoa poxo n only one colony and its in my frag tank, will the furan 2 hurt other colonys in frag tank? or should i just do the dips?

phil--- i would try to treat the tank as i wouldnt want all the medication in the tank if thats what you mean. i would remove the colony and treat it using a dip.
