zoa pox

Long story short I found my heater unplugged in my frag tank last week today when I looked at my zoas they have zoa pox maybe around 15 frags I have over 100 frags it's a 40 breeder how should I treat can I treat the whole tank with fur an 2 anyone have any advice I'm going nuts I have thousands in coral in this tank

OK so here's what I did when I had pox months ago I diped them in furan 2 the only known treatment for two weeks most colony's made it some didn't make sure to add as much flow as possible to your dip bucket I did mine about 15 Min's daily you a should be doing it no linger then 30 a day

Just read that over and it wasn't to clear take the zoas out put them in a bucket with new salt water one galon per 2 packets of furan 2 leave them in for 15 Min's with a power head then rinse Nd return to tank

Yea so put em in a 5 galon bucket or a few and do that I don't see you suggesting any thing you can also use a ten galon tank and dip them I had 60 frags St the time one bucket worked lol

Im dipping tommorow thanjs for the help. Should i dip the ones in the same tank even if they have no sign of pox

When I did it I diped all of my zoas not my pAlys regardless of what zoa had it Don't dip pAlys as it's detrimental my pAlys didn't seem to get it

When you say Paly's do you mean Correct Paly's like Captain America, Nuclear Green, Purple Death etc. Only

Because what many Reefers call Paly's are not Really Paly's but Larger Zoanthids - Gobstoppers, Candy Apple Red's, Sunny D's, etc.

Proto pAlys added to that list any thing with paly toxin is supposed to not get the fungus/ infection what ever you want to call it

My blue agaves car sunny d didn't get it but I diped them to be sure
