I am blown away at some of the prices I'm seeing for single polp zoas. I always knew sps few pricey for some of them but these zoa prices are shocking. I'm glad I don't get into the name game of have to have the rare stuff

Keep in mind that it's all cyclical as well. Utter Chaos were $100-150pp less than a year ago, and now I'm seeing them for $15pp. Rastas have kind of gone in the inverse. Just keep hunting.

I need to move to your area. You would be lucky to get $10pp for Utters around here in the last couple of years. I tried to sale frag disks with 5 to 10 polyps for $25 and no one wanted them.
I have NEVER seen Utter Chaos for more than $20 pp. I feel for you guys who live far from large reefing scenes![]()
How long have you been around? If I remember correctly they were around $100pp when they were introduced. Heck I remember when darth mauls would go for $50pp.
2004 is when I started. But I'm from SoCal. I notice things you can't even give away here sell in other states. It's kinda surprising.
That’s the story over here in PA. Plane Jane green/yellow zoas sell for 10-20 depending on which LFS.
The older refers out this way that don’t go online for their hobby don’t even know how crazy colorful corals are these days.
It’s all very subjective. I think places with smaller community will have larger fluctuations. If you have a bigger community with veteran reefers who have colonies the price will start going down, as they have to give the extra polyps away.
I regularly give away grandis, bam bam , la lakers due to real estate shortage .i would dump them in trash if there’s no taker (which is what happened with Mohawks, Green Bay packers and radio active dragon eyes earlier till I pretty much nuke them in large quantity ). I think once multiple reefers in the local area hit this type of situation, price will start going down
Next time you need to purge please let me know, I will pay for shipping and your time. We just like to add color to the tank and zoas are what the kids like so Im not looking for all these high end ones , just something with colorIt’s all very subjective. Here's a link to a major retailer selling them for $40pp. https://www.tidalgardens.com/stock-utter-chaos-zoanthids.htmlI have NEVER seen Utter Chaos for more than $20 pp. I feel for you guys who live far from large reefing scenes![]()

Now you've seen it higher than $20 and you don't have to yell at me in bold font. As pointed out elsewhere, the prices and availability of things changes across our huge country. I'd also like to point out that I do a lot of my shopping during trips to Florida, so it's not like I'm referencing this solely off of Alabama prices.
