These (unknown) zoa's have been receding. I have noticed these retangular spots that seem just under the shin. I thought flat worms, but I am not sure. Could someone please give me advise, should I worry about my other zoas? Thank you in advance.

I have seen those on PEs and Palythoas both. THey like a flatworm but seem to crawl just beneath the skin of the zoanthid. They never seemed to do any harm to the zoanthids at all. Never made them close or anything. I would not think that was the cause of the zoas closing, but that is just what I have seen. Best to look for another cause as to why they are closing. I am sure I took a pic of them and will dig it out if I can find it, but as I said, I have seen them on several different kinds of zoanthids and never noticed them to cause any problems. I even still have a frag of Blue sunshines that had/may still have them on it and it is and always has done just fine.
But not sure that is what you have. Do they move?

Found the pic. This is the frag couple months ago

and tonight. Never bothered it what ever it is/was.

I have not notice them moving, they seem more of a blemish under the skin. I think the size of the spots tend to change (shape too, primarily rectangular). I will need to pay more attention. The zoa are definitely not happy, mostly closed up, not melting though. Thank you flricordia and killingseed2000 for your replies, they have helped me quite a bit.
