Zoa problem

I just got these zoas two weeks ago and they started to open fine even on the first day after dipping. But now they aren’t starting to open up as much and there is a little bit of a brown slime on then and I can’t tell if there are whit spots as well. I did cut them of the frag plug because they were glued on from a pice of rock. And I know that there isn’t allot of flow in my pico tank that I have them in. Ither the flow is to strong or not enough. The first pic is two hours after I bought them. The second is current.

I would take a turkey baster and gently blow them off and see if they will reopen. I have to do this with a couple of my colonies once in a while.

Thank you. It’s a good form and fortunately I’ve only been in this fishkeeping hobby for 10 months now. I threw myself in the deep end and did a pico tank for my first saltwater tank. Thanks for checking out my thread.

Should I take them out in a separate container of tank water and blow them off just in case their are any contaminants of diseases I don’t want to spread?

You can do that, I usually just blow them off in the tank. It is usually a bit of algae and detritus which once gone they open back up pretty quickly.

Ya just a quick blow off helped them out
