I have a 140 gal sps tank but don't keep zoas because my filefish eats them all.I recently purchased a complete mini tank to keep zoas ,other than fresh saltwater and light do zoas NEED anything else to grow healthy?see size comparison to my kamoer....it's TINY!

Zoa's tend to be pretty hardy, I've had a lot of good luck with mine. The only time I've had some shrivel away is when I tried to frag them and only took one polyp. I'd just monitor them, as long as they are extended and look happy I wouldnt mess with anything. I think my only worry would be detritus gathering on top of them, you may want to run water over them with a turkey baster once in a while.

Nope they should be fine! I feed reef roids to my tank it’s mainly dominated with zoas they close when I do this, which is a feeding thing they do! Good luck

Really depends on what type of zoas you want, many high end zoas are still pretty fincky and need stable water just like sps or they will melt.
