I was gone Friday night and when I got back Saturday all my sunny dee zoas shrunk. Everything else in the tank is doing great even the sps, but the only zoas that look different are the dees. Here's a before and after picture.

I have three different frags all in different places in the tank. That all look exactly the same.

Too much light? They are obviously melting unfortunately and it appears that the other zoas are doing just fine? I've had weird occurrences like this and couldn't figure out the problem. All i can see doing now is a possible vit C dip. That is how i saved my once hurting bloodshots.

And it can't be light I haven't moved them in about a month and they are in three different spots in the tank.

check them over for any bugs, maybe dip them to be safe just incase something has found them rather appetising !

with sunny ds, they could never have enough light. they love intense lighting. the stock & mat do look a bit pale. try dosing natural iodine. iodine helps with external & internal infections, especially with soft coral. i would also advice on doing the exact thing that everyone else has recommended to do. dip & inspect. i would find the healthiest sunny d polyp & frag it, dip & reintroduce. sometimes, its an internal infection, so you're going to have to sever off a healthy polyp, in order to stop the spread of what ever the problem might be & save the zoa. good luck & happy reefing!

It surely can't be internal and if it would be external it would be harming the other zoas. I have three differe t frags in different spots in the tank so its not lighting they were doing good for months

Life is a mystery buddy, its either your zoas deciding they don't like it there and melting or something has upset them, try holding them in strong flow to stimulate the tissue area maybe it will kick start them again. Ive had zoas before they just die over a few days .... sorry buddy it happens and its rubbish :(
