I'm not sure if this is a zoa or not. I'm new to this hobby and trying to figure everything out as I go. This coral will not open all the way. Any ideas on why. I have attached a picture. Thanks

These are zoas, how's long has it been in the tank? Lighting? Have you seen them all open?

And also water parameters, everyone is going to ask. Nitrates nitrites salinity phosphate etc...

I took a water sample to my LFS. They said the water checked out. I have a Bio Cube 29 with stock lighting. It has been in the tank for 6 days. They were all opened the first 2 days. I have moved them 3 times. Top, middle, and bottom. I did a 5 gallon water change yesterday.

Try not to move it so much. Stay at the bottom and let it sit for about a week or two. Also low flow for now

You can also do a dip, usually before any zoa goes in my tank I dip them from any algae or parasites before I make the transfer. They'll close up for a little while but they make it through and algae and pest free
