My friend and I are newbies...His tank crashed this morning only thing survived is his zoa and he wants to give it to me should I take it or say no?

If it was an ammonia crash, yes its fine. If it was a crash due to excessive algae or some fish disease...stay clear unless you have a qt tank set up

ammonia, nitrite & nitrate spike. PH dropped. 1 six line wrasse, 3 clown fish, emerald crabs and snails died. Xenia and GSP gone.

Sorry to hear that. If you are convinced they are fish disease free...probably OK to take them. Unless I am absolutely convinced of the source, I plan to quarantine anything wet (including corals and invertebrates) for a minimum of 76 days.
