I am completly at a loss with zoas right now... I have had my 180 up now for over a year and everything is doing great. I can add palys in the tank do awesome, add sps doing great, add acans great, and then add zoas and they are gone within 2 or 3 days... The only zoas I have been able to keep in my tank are a colony of tubs blues that I have had for about 2 years now and a frag of blue hornets. Everything either melts or just closes up and never opens I have many different colonys of palys in the tank armor of gods, nuke greens, purple dealths. Just at a loss with this I love me some zoas and would like to add more to the tank but dont want to keep wasting money....

That's strange cause they are easy and hardy. What kind of fish do you have? Any angels that could be picking on them?

Or maybe a emerald crab? I had half my bam bam colony disappearing for some reason and then caught the little bugger picking at them one day:(

Do you dip the zoas before adding them to your tank? All sorts of pests and diseases will kill zoas. Sundial snails, zoa spiders, zoa pox.

No angels in the tank but I do have a large foxface in the tank.. I have heard of them snaking on zoas once in a while. I do normally dip them in revive, but dont do the full strength.
