Last week, I picked up a green mushroom and zoa at my LPS (I lost my receipt do I can't remember the name - it is purple with an orange mouth). I have moved the mushroom a little higher and it was happier and the polys opened nicely. My zoa has always seemed happy (opened right away) right on the sand bed, so should I just keep him down there and leave good enough alone?

Yeah you can try the place you was planning on having it and if it doesn't seem to like it you can always move it back there.

I’ve been keeping zoas and palys on the sand mostly. Most are good right off, some take some adjusting but they always figure it out.
