Zoa splitting

I've found a few threads on this but curious how many folks have seen this. My BBEB zoas are doing well and just recently one started to split (or is it?).

What do you guys think?

Happens a good bit in my Zoa tank, but don't think I've ever gotten photos this good of one splitting!

What I find interesting is where the split is happening. That Zoa sort of draped over the edge of my frag plug, so half was getting direct light and the other half was shaded. Not much light gets to those polyps under the plug.
