This weeks spotlight goes to Captain America! This paly grows fast and from my experience needs a higher amount of lighting to keep it's cool colors.

Anyone else want to share your experience and photos? :D

I have 2 colonies of these, about 25-35 polyps each. One is under an AI Sol about 14" away from the light, the other is under an Orphek PR-25 at the same distance from the light. The 2 colonies look completely different. The ones under the AI Sol look just like the picture above, while the ones under the Orphek are 3 different shades of blue with no other colors. Just really odd IMO. Both seem to be stretching for light but they are both at the highest points in each tank only 2-3" below the water line.

I used to have a colony of these, started as 5 and before i knew it, there was like 50!

In my tank I started with a 2 polyp frag and they didn't grow for 6 months. After 6 months they grew to 20 in a month. Then I split in now I have like 40 and I think have stayed there for 6 months.

What are those nodules/bumps along the skirts.?? I picked up a 4-5 polyp frag of these. And became concerned when these bumps started to appear. Is it common on palys.??

That picture makes me very ashamed of mine. They have much paler colors. But I will try your advice and start moving them higher.

This type of paly is called protopally (sorry for spelling) like nuclear greens, purple death that's one of their characteristics the little bumps. Do not worry its normal.

Nice looking. I have never seen Captain America's look so good.

Thanks Josh I also have some PD and NG protopaly's and they are also recently showing some signs of those bumps.

And I just moved my Captain America's up 1/3 from the bottem. And really hope they look as good as the first picture.
