This is an update on one of my zoa colonies. When I first got it, it was opening fine for a few weeks then suddenly closed. All my other colonies are doing fine except this one. Any suggestions?

If running carbon, remove temporarily, observe for little black bugs, asterina stars and and any other pests.( check underneath plug also)
Give it peroxide dip for 5 mins and do add Lugols Iodine every other day to water.
Moderate water flow

Do not add iodine to the water every other day unless you test for iodine levels, it's a good way to over dose your tank. Carbon will not hurt your zoas or your tank. Typically you want some nutrients in your tank for zoas. My advice, some zoas just don't do well and you shouldn't make radical changes that can affect your entire system for one frag. Anyone who grows zoas understands this frustration.
