Zoa surrounded by hair algae

I have had good luck with peroxide. I don't pour directly one though. I put the frag in a little tubberware container with tank water and start pouring peroxide in until I see the algae fizzing. Then I give it 5 or so minutes and back into the tank they go. In a few days algae all gone!

The only time I had some adverse affects was when I got a little too excited and poured a lot more peroxide then I intended. The zoas started to get what looked like blisters on them and looked absolutly terrible. They had to be dead. Of course it was a bloodshot and cb bowsers frag. Dejected I put them back in the tank as I kissed my money away. 3 days later to my surprise they started to open up. A couple weeks passed and all the blisters healed. So in my experience it takes quite a lot to do damage with peroxide.
