Zoa vs zoa competition

I picked up this mixed frag a few months ago but it looks like the King Midas zoas are slowly overtaking the Purple Hearted Emeralds. Unfortunately they are so intertwined I don't think there is any way to safely separate them. Do mixed frags like this often work out or is one typically doomed to be crowded out by the other?

midas (and nirvanas!) will overgrow everything

I LOVE daisy cutters. I just ordered some from Zoanthids.com. Actually, I think I saw them for the first time in a picture you may have posted. So.... thanks.... I've been wanting them ever since.

midas (and nirvanas!) will overgrow everything

my Midas are good growers but I haven’t had an issue with them overgrowing stuff. nirvanas and pandoras on the other hand grow like weeds in my tank over taking almost everything. I can’t believe pricing I see for a frag of those two.
those are give always to locals for me.

I can’t keep nirvanas alive lol. I moved my Pandora’s up to high par and the growth slowed.

I haven’t given enough of my frags long enough to make colonies. This is changing. As once my frag tank is up no more cutting from DT items.

If you can get a frag of the purple hearted I would. This was if the midas take over and kill them off you have them still

There were originally 3 polyps of the purples but realized today I only see two now. One is right in the middle of the midas so probably a lost cause but there is the one polyp pictured on the edge. Might give it a shot at the expense of a polyp or two of the midas since they seem to be multiplying happily.

18 hour drive for nirvanas and dinner….that’s a long trip
