Exactly. Its all.about balence. I run my kessil, biopellets, gfo, and a skimmer rated for 110gallons on my 30 db cube. I feed very heavily cyclopeeze, mysis, and coral food once ligbts are out. My phosphates test at 0 nitrates 0. Water changes one a week, no dosing at all. But yet there is particulate floating around, and built up detritus that comes out in water changes. Zoas seem to love particulate
