Zoa white strings

The colony pictured -has some mushrooms and other zoa mixed into it-has white strings coming from zoa/palys


Sponge?

Anybidea what the white strings are-dont seem to be a work or critter….

I can't tell from the first pic, but the second pic looks like a sponge, yeah. As long as it doesn't grow over the polyps of the zoas, it should be harmless.
