30 watt nicrew led light on 12 hours a day parameters all in check 13.5 fluval tank could be to much flow but I wouldn’t think so Stock return pump small hydor koralia power head with branch hammer coral that’s in good shape and this guyMaybe too much flow? Some more information about your tank might be helpful to triage.
Only thing that could’ve irritated it over time and recently would’ve been the emerald crabs that I had and took back to LFS or cleaner shrimp which I still have one in the tank now but hasn’t disturbed anything to my knowledge. And as far as parameters go nitrates 0.25ppm near zero ammonia level 8 or little higher on the PH I believe that’s all I have to go off right now with the lame API test kitAny critters that might have disturbed them? I don’t mean to be coy, but listing out your water parameters would be good. Lots of ‘water is in check’ posts have eventually led to an underlying issue. Hope they are just a bit irritated. Mine go to sleep at night as the lights dim
3 out of the 4 heads are looking really nice I just noticed this one hanging on by a limb not a huge deal cause it’s opened up as well lolOnly thing that could’ve irritated it over time and recently would’ve been the emerald crabs that I had and took back to LFS or cleaner shrimp which I still have one in the tank now but hasn’t disturbed anything to my knowledge. That one head is opening and closing still the same way it was before very weird but I’ll let it be lolAny critters that might have disturbed them? I definitely don’t have that kind of snail in my reef tank. And I didn’t notice it like that when I got them but the others are growing out fine open and close and so does this one hanging by limbRight below it is a hole/tunnel like tube which may be a vermetid snail which would irritate it for sure
Yeah doubtful even a little head on the other back side of frag is growing out so who knows I’ll let it ride the wave lolIf the rest are happy, I wouldn’t change much. Maybe some weird flow just on that polyp? Seems unlikely.
Its not necessarily a snail in a shell but rather one that will send out feelers and extend at night causing havoc to some coral. Vermetid snails in an aquarium can harm corals. They usually impede coral growth and damage corals’ skeletal structure. They are technically gastropods, they do not have coiled shells like other marine species from the same class do.I definitely don’t have that kind of snail in my reef tank. Dang I will have to keep a sharp eye out then. Cause I got a branch hammer the zoa frag mushroom and one other coral Thanks for the information. Its not necessarily a snail in a shell but rather one that will send out feelers and extend at night causing havoc to some coral.
