It seems to happen awful fast. Maybe I'm just getting them late. Seems like eveytime I grab a ZOA that's around 100pp by the time I can frag and offer any for sale they are down to 5pp. Maybe it's just cuz I'm cheap and refuse to pay over 100pp?

How long do you think prices stay up there for? 3 months? 6? A year? I just recently saw black hornets for 100pp now I'm seeing them in packs that suggest maybe 15.

Depends on how fast they grow, how easy they frag, and how many are released at once. Look at pink kracks. They were 100 bucks a pop, thing is wwc released a ton and they grow like weeds I've seen them down to $25 now. But polyps like bowsers, og krackatoa, shazams either grow slow or melt when you cut them.

There's a lot of different factors as mentioned. I've certainly never seen any go from $100pp to $5pp in 6 months though lol Another factor is area. For whatever reason certain polyps are more common in some areas than others.

I aint payin' $100pp for nothing. Don't care how "cool" it is .

I say the same, but some that I've been seeing have me debating more and more.

The problem for me is that I hate buying single polyp frags, so the 100+ dollar frag turns into 200 or 300+

I may have just been ripped off a little / not done enough research. I am impulsive, especially so lately.

If you buy with the intent of reselling you will waste a lot of money and never get what you expect. If you're patient everything drops in price.

Krakatoa?!?!?!

I only recall the one Krakatoa Selling for $2,500 for 1 Polyp.

The Next one for sale will be alot cheaper.

Unless I am Mistaken and more than one have been Sold.

Have any other Krakatoas been Sold?

And why don't I see the buyers bragging about them?

Well as far as I know there is only one buyer.

He may not be a member on this site or maybe does not want to brag.

And I could be wrong but I heard somewhere that it Died on him!

Ouch is that is true.

$2,500 Lost on a Dead Zoanthid Polyp!

But maybe I heard bad information.

If anybody know what exactly happened please post here and let us know.

There was more than one buyer. The one's that died are the goldenbasket mother colony (where they originated) I think, sending the price even higher.
That would be absolutely horrible if that happened! A $2,500 frag plug

Who is Selling Krakatoas?

Anybody?

Or Who has Them?

Who Sold the One for $2,500

Goldenbasket, they held an auction, and some guy bidded it for $2,500

Is Goldenbasket somebody famous?

Do they have a site?

I have never heard of them before.

I wonder how they got something so expansive unless they are like Sexy Corals or somebody of that Caliber.

There was several frags sold of the OG Krakatoa and a few from here has them. If you look deep down in our archives I'm sure you will find them, plus our vendor joeknowsreef use to sell them.
