Rookie mistake - I put a zoa colony in my DT without dipping it, like a doofus. So now I’m breeding a lovely crop of Zoa Eating Nudibranchs. I’m going to dip the colony and all my other zoas in the morning. Thankfully, they’re not attached to the rock work yet.
I do see their pretty little circles of eggs on the sides of a few polyps (ugh)... will dipping kill these as well? Should I dip multiple times over the course of some period of time?
Of course they like the expensive ones too! LOL Grrrr

Generally, a dip won't kill eggs of any kind, especially nudibranch eggs.

You will have to manually remove eggs by scraping them off and worth the time

Dipping will not kill the eggs (as the folks above me have already mentioned). Using a stiff brush like a toothbrush or pipe cleaner (not the arts and craft kind- like dish washing kind) and scraping them off. Repeat dips every few days will kill larvae before they can mature :)

Definitely worth the time on these guys... it’s a large colony of Sunny Ds so I definitely don’t want to lose them! What do you suggest scraping them off with?
A pairing knife or even plastic spoon or automotive detail brush

Thank you both!! I just sucked a couple larger ones out with my turkey baster. I hope this instills fear in the other guys. Their days are numbered!!
