Was looking in my sump, and i had a toadstool in there looking like it was dying. Could that cause the ammonia spike?

Yeah a dead mass of tissue like that would bring in alot of ammonia. Why was a coral in your sump?

i dont know much about dying leathers, but i would suspect that if it is leaching ammonia, it probably has an odor to it. someone else might want to chime in if they know

So i went to another store today with a revospin, and tested my water there. Removed the toad stool. I dont think the revospin from the other store is accurate or calibrated correctly.
