Zoanthid lighting

I have a new tank and im going through Diatom bloom. Anyone know what the shortest lighting schedule I can run without killi g my Zoas? I have to shorten this light period.

U can run 6 hours and they will be fine. U can move them closer to the light if u are reducing the time they are getting light. I wouldn’t put them in until cycled as they can die but I know the itch to start getting stuff into the tank and I understand. Lol thx

I wouldn’t go any less than 6 hours. I also wouldn’t shorten lighting for diatoms. The diatom bloom needs to run its course. Shortening your light period will only make the bloom last longer.

I really couldnt tell you the name of them. I have about 5 different 5 to 10 polyp frags. Only one frag is open right now due to light schedule ramping down or I would take photos. Here is the one thats still open.
