Hello everyone I’m looking to get some colorful zoanthid polyps for my 65 gallon reef, but having difficulty choosing a location so I’m looking for some help. Below are a few pictures of my tank, let me know your guys opinion on where I should place them ?

I was thinking about taking the waving hands off of this rock which is in the center of my tank and growing zoanthids here. Yes or no ?

Here is just the big picture of my setup and you can see the big rock that’s in the picture above right at the top center of the tank. Let me know where you guys think would be an ideal location for some zoanthids.
All the way to the far right I plan to have a anemone of some kind a species that doesn’t move around as much hopefully lol... so not really looking to put them over there as I know anemones can sting nearby corals so trying to keep some space on that side of the tank.

Can’t tell you where to put them because we don’t know the flow patterns and lighting of the tank. The coral will tell you what’s good and bad

You want moderate inderect flow, enough to keep detritus from settling but nothing that will blast the coral directly. Light should be medium, generally i place zoas where I think LPS would do well and I have had almost 100% success with this.

What lights are you using? This will help us answer your question.
It’s reef spec lighting that comes with the older Red Sea max plug and play systems, 234 wattT5, fluorescent 39 watt, 3 x 10,000 k / 3 x actinic 22,000 k

Okay thank you

This is pretty much on point ime. The only type of zoa or paly I have had to move to higher par were sunny ds, they shrivel up under low/medium par for me..
