Hi, I’m looking for help. This is a new tank that has been cycled. Do you know what’s wrong with my zoanthid? Middle seems to have this tissue coming out. What should I do to fix this? Thank you in advance.

You can try an iodine dip.

Even if it does die as long as there is tissue on the plug don’t remove it from your tank. I’ve had zoas come back from what looked like nothing.

How high up are they in your tank?
What are your water parameters?

I haven’t checked alk, cal, or mag yet. This coral is sitting 12”+ away from the light. I’m using a kessil and I can dim the lights. I will grab some iodine tomorrow and try dipping it.

Unless that’s your only coral I wouldn’t dim the lights. Move them down further in you tank

How long has the tank been going?
Any live stock?fish?
Snails and hermit. Tank been up for about 3 weeks. No other corals besides this coral.
