Wish I had better luck with mine. I've had them for months, and there not really growing at all. I have them low in my 90 with LEDs, not a lot of flow either. Where are you all keeping them? Hi/low light. Hi/low flow?

All depends of the type of fruit loops.

The market has been flooded with rocks and rocks of them being sold for really cheep to all hobbiests .

We have started off with 1p last year grown up to 60+ melted back a bit and grown and melted and repeated for some reason.

We just started a new one3p now 20issh under t5low/mid light wave mode pulse no direct flow.

Mine seem to do the same thing, but on a smaller scale grow a polyp, 2 melt away. Grow 2 one might melt. I want to get another frag or two of them and try placing in different areas in the tank to compare growth.

Mine do well about 12" below my T5s, and get pretty moderate/strong random flow from a Vortech. It took them awhile to do much of anything when I first got my small frag and placed it on my sandbed, but moving them higher in the tank seemed to increase their reproductive rate.

In my experience....they prefer low light for longevity. From what I understand, true fruit loops are a japanese deep water zoa....meaning that they have low light in the wild. Since they hav such vibrant colors, we as hobbyist, tend to want to put them in bright light environments.....that way our acnitics and blue led's can really get the colors to pop!!! IMO....this is not good for longevity. In my tank...they tend to grow better and have more sustainability in low light areas.

Are there different types of fruit loops in terms of size? I just received a frag from thedigitalfishroom and the polyps are super tiny. As I used to have them, I don't remember they were that small. Or are they just malnutritioned?

Mine about half way down my zoa rock, took a while for them to start growing but they are doing good now, I had them really high not sure they liked it
