So i have been wondering , my zoas are very healthy . But since i swopped lights the tips of tenticals lost their color , young ones have their color but loose it soon after . The previous light was almost the same but the new one only had one uv led extra . Could the uv be the cause ? The first light was a 1w uv and now it has 2x 3w at 70% . In the pic you can see the young ones have full color

If the light is the only thing that has changed then it would seem to be the cause. That's unfortunate that they're losing color! It's also possible that it's tied to the depletion of a trace element.

Do you feed them at all? I used to think mine got enough from fish waste or smaller pieces of fish food and to be honest, I thought they look alright. Now I dust them occasionally with some coral foods and they have started to brighten up and exhibit stronger color separation (color doesn't blend on their disk).
