I have a very zoa dominant 46 gallon, other than 2 frogspawns everything else in the tank is zoas, I did go about 2 weeks no water change and saw a drastic drop in alk. down to about 6, are zoas taking the alk up? I since did 3 daily water changes about 5 gallons each and brought it back up to 8.3, I will continue to monitor this but in yalls experience have yall see zoas take up Alk?

From what I understand, soft corals do not us up KH or Calcium. Someone correct me if im wrong.

My KH dropped to 6 also but it's been about 2 weeks since my last water change and have a couple LPS corals mixed in with my zoas.
