Zoanthids flat

Howdy,

Quick question regarding my zoanthids growth. Several higher in my tank strains appear to slightly be bleaching and grow Almost flat on their frag disk. Could this be due to too high intensity ?

Mine doesn’t bleach in highlight but does grow flat and spreads towards the side of the frag plug, leaving the middle of the frag plug open

I keep mine low in the tank... they look great and are colonizing rapidly...

In my experience zoas will grow taller with less light and shorter or even flat with more light.

Hi too high par or high salinity will bleach some of them. I had it happen to an eagle eye colony but they eventually recovered .it did take a few months

Did you recent adjust the intensity? Are you using GFO?

Yes sounds like it and when the stalks are long they want more light

I'm gonna try lowering intensity and flow just a little and see if we get some stalking
